The Journey

February 22, 2000 began like so many days I had experienced before. My husband, Michael, woke early, brewed his pot of coffee and drank it as he sat to peruse the newspaper and make his “to do” list for the day. This was his daily practice to which I had grown so accustomed. February 22, 2000, ended as no other, at 5:35p.m, my husband put a gun to his head, and took his life. His suicide came without warning.

Connect With Widow's Walk

Testimonial

"After my husband died suddenly from Leukemia, I found myself feeling like an outcast. My friends couldn’t relate to my pain, nor understand, why at times I behaved the way I did. My life changed drastically, while my friends’ lives stayed unshaken and the same. I felt very alone...until I found Widow's Walk. I found other widows that understood. Thanks to Widow’s Walk, I feel that I am not traveling this journey completely alone."
